‘Prison Architect’ Release Date Scheduled Spring This Year; Out On Xbox One, PS4 And Xbox 360
Double Eleven and Introversion Software announced that the release date for "Prison Architect" for Xbox One, PS4 and XBox 360 is slated spring this year
According to the game developer's blog post published on PlayStation blog, the game started as a crowd funded game in 2010.
Tech Times added that Introversion Software raised more than $270,000 in just two weeks with more than 8,000 backers and earned pre-order sales worth more than $10.7 million for the game's alpha version.
After five years, its release date last year was a successful debut in PC selling over 1.5million copies. As a result, they've planned the "Prison Architect" to consoles, Now Gamer reported.
Prior to the release date of "Prison Break," Mark Morris of Introversion Software further explained its gameplay. Players take on the role of governor and architect to build new cells and facilities, hire staff and create reform programs.
"Most people will start their journey into the world of Prison Architect by playing through the Prison Stories, the game's main campaign," he said. "You'll start by equipping a small prison with everything it needs and later move to being called up to deal with emergencies."
"You'll quickly learn how to cope with blazing infernos, prison wide riots, demolition, and construction," Morris described its gameplay.
He added that the game was inspired by Alcatraz in which players also deals with informants, contraband smuggling, gang warfare, and riots. As the game progresses, more dirty deeds will be revealed.
"Public opinion is divided as to whether prisons are too harsh or not harsh enough, so we wanted to create a game where you could touch on that and explore it for yourself. The idea was to create a game where players had a chance to experience a simulated prison management system and leave every decision - big and small - to the player," Morris blog .
Players may also share their prison design on the game's community through World of Wardens.
