Music fans will have to wait a bit longer before they could hear a new album being released by Aerosmith because as of 2016, frontman and iconic singer Steven Tyler is focusing on his solo country record.

It was recently confirmed that Aerosmith's Steven Tyler is indeed planning to release a country-influenced new album this 2016 after announcing a solo record deal with Nashville-based record label Big Machine, Ultimate Class Rock claimed.

According to ABC News Radio, Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler said in an interview that he is aiming for his new album to be released sometime in February of 2016.

"I don't even know who I'm producing it with," Tyler said in the interview. "It's gonna be what it is."

"There's a couple of songs I've written and they're like rock, and I said, 'Oh, geez.' And I'm not gonna put a banjo on it just to make it country ... I don't know what it's gonna be, but my heart leans [toward] the country feeling and the vibe."

The Aerosmith frontman further shared his excitement about his plans with his upcoming new album this 2016.

"I think country music is the new rock 'n' roll," he stated. "I mean, you can listen to the lyrics, you can really get into it, just as you could get into 'Stairway to Heaven.'"

"Country's not just about porches, dogs and kicking my boots up. It's a whole lot more, but it's about being real. You know, the world's gone so far away from that. I hope it comes back."

As for the rest of the members of Aerosmith, guitarist Brad Whitford said that they sort of feel abandoned.

"It's unfortunate," Whitford explained in an interview with Billboard. "We kind of feel a little bit abandoned by him."

"I guess he seems to think his solo career is going to go great guns, and he doesn't seem to realize that, in my opinion, his fans around the globe want to see him in the context of Aerosmith and don't really care for whatever he thinks he's gonna do."
