The Flash season 2 spoiler: Candice Patton talks what Earth-2 version of her Iris West is like

Latest "The Flash" season 2 spoilers will show the trip of STAR Lab's team back to Earth-2. Future episodes will also feature the villain versions of Ronnie Raymond and Caitlin Snow, according to reports.

The series already shown how different the protagonists' counterparts in Earth-2 were. Now, it's time to show what Iris West is like in the alternate universe.

The original Earth's Iris will not travel with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and others, but people will find another version of her in Earth-2.

Candice Patton teased "The Flash" season 2 spoilers as she said fans will enjoy her character's doppelganger.

"We know there's travel to Earth-2, so there's a different version of Iris," she said in an interview with Comic Book Resources. "I think the fans are really going to enjoy the Earth-2 stuff."

Could this 'different version' be something taken straight out of the comics?

In the source material where the show's character was based from, Barry and Iris got married.

In the CW Network TV series, the Scarlet Speedster has always loved his childhood friend, but there always seems to be a hindrance to their relationship.

The STAR Labs team will travel to Earth-2 to chase this season's big bad Zoom. Zoom was the same person who killed Iris West in the comics.

Will this be explored in future episodes?

Candice Patton said that her character will find herself being involved in the fight to bring Zoom to justice.

"Earth-2 Iris is involved in a lot of the action involving Zoom," the 27-year-old actress said in the same interview.

"She's right in the thick of all the craziness. Those two episodes are by far my favorite that I've shot this season. It's nice to be involved in the main plot and to see Iris deal with the big bad and being a part of solving the problems. There are a lot of guns and a lot of action all around."

"The Flash" season 2, episode 11 airs on Jan. 26, and spoilers tease the return of last season's Reverse Flash.
