'Game Of Thrones' Star Maisie Williams Admits Feeling Guilty Lying About Kit Harington’s Jon Snow
Maisie Williams has been caught with her pants down, so to speak, and she admitted to feeling guilty about being deceptive when asked about Kit Harington's Jon Snow's fate on "Game of Thrones" season 6.
"I feel so mean because I speak to people and they're all like 'Jon Snow, is he back?' and it's like really heartbreaking because people are like 'yeah, but he's coming back though?'" she told reporters during the London Film Critics' Circle Awards on Sunday.
"It's a great twist but I can't say he's going to be alive," she added.
Maisie Williams statement about Jon Snow not being alive, but not dead, in "Game of Thrones" seaosn 6 is a revelation to some fans, however.
According to some fan theories, Kit Harington's Jon Snow might warg into his direwolf so he's technically dead, and the HBO bosses will not come off as lying when they earlier insisted he's dead.
Another theory is that Jon Snow was indeed dead, but he's going to be ressurected by Melisandre who was seen entering the Wall just before the Night's Watch brothers stabbed Kit Harington's character several times.
In July last year, Maisie Williams talked to People, as shared by MTV News, and insisted that Jon Snow is dead and Kit Harington is not coming back for "Game of Thrones" season 6.
"We saw him get stabbed a lot in the chest. I think it's pretty clear," she said.
"People are really hurt by it, but that's what this show does," she added. "If you haven't figured that out by now, then I can't help you!"
Then she shared that "there's hope" still for fans that Jon Snow is alive, but then rolled her eyes to add, "there's no hope, ever."
Of course, Maisie Williams was right to be cryptic as Kit Harington was already filming his scenes in "Game of Thrones" season 6 so it's clear Jon Snow's coming back. The only question is in what form.
