A "Gilmore Girls" reunion was seemingly confirmed by a Netflix executive who finally spoke up about the hit TV series' revival.

According to a report from Movie News Guide, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos admitted that a "Gilmore Girls" reunion is in the works. However, the station insider refused to give further details.

"I can't tell you much about Gilmore Girls," he explained while at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena last weekend.

"We're still working on buttoning down everything before our announcements."

Prior to the statement from a Netflix exec, rumors about the "Gilmore Girls" reunion were fueled because of statements from the show's cast and creator.

E! Online reported about how actress Lauren Graham got "Gilmore Girls" fans excited because of her cryptic tweets. The 48-year-old played Lorelai Gilmore on the show alongside her on-screen daughter Alexis Bledel, who played Rory Gilmore

"I can't confirm this, but I also can't deny this," Lauren Graham tweeted amid rumors about the show's revival.

Variety also reported about the highly anticipated revival of the hit WB Network dramedy, which is rumored to consist of four 90-minute movies rather than a full series.

The hit show's creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, initially clarified that nothing is confirmed yet.

"There's nothing in the works at the moment," she said during the ATX Festival held in summer of 2015. "If it ever happened, I promise we'd do it correctly."

"It would have to be the right everything, the right format, the right timing. It would have to be honored in a certain way," she explained.

The "Gilmore Girls" creator also pointed out how it helps that the artists and production personnel involved in the show do not have any personal differences about reuniting for a 2016 remake.

"Nobody here hates each other, which is very important," Amy Sherman-Palladino. "If [the reunion] ever came around, we would all jump in and do it."
