'Banshee' Season 4 Spoilers Hint An Emotionally Dark Storyline? Lucas Hood In Trouble?

The spoilers for "Banshee" season 4 reveal that the next season would portray an emotionally dark storyline.

According to Business 2 Community, the rumored reason behind such emotional plot is that the upcoming season will feature Lucas Hood's attempts to patch up with his former love, Carrie Hopewell, but will be hunted down by a mob gangster from his past.

Collider added that the spoilers from the teaser of "Banshee" season 4 suggest that Carrie and Lucas will share an emotional moment together in the upcoming episodes. The teaser also showed Lucas standing in front of a burning house, which points towards the end of Hood's journey.

Further, the season 4 of "Banshee" is reported to be the end of the drama series with around eight emotionally dark episodes, TV Line stated.

The new season is also speculated to showcase serious trouble for Lucas. The spoilers' tease that Hood will be portrayed drowned in his drinking problems with no one by his side to support him, Christian Today stated.

Meanwhile, the creator of the series, Jonathan Trooper, also revealed about how the plan for the fifth season was first considered and then dropped due to lack of storyline.

"While we certainly considered returning for a fifth season, I always said that when the story was told, it would be time to move on and that time has come," Trooper said as reported by Hitfix. "I am grateful to Cinemax for making Banshee the great success it has been and for supporting our creative decision to wrap things up."

The character of Lucas Hood will be played by Antony Starr and Ivana Milicevic will portray Carrie's role.

Season 4 will also feature few newcomers namely, Ana Ayora as Officer Nina Cruz, Eliza Dushku as Veronica Dawson and Casey Labow as Maggie.

"Banshee" season 4 is set to mark a return on April 1, 2016 on Cinemax.
