'Narcos' Season 2 Spoilers: Showrunner Missing In Action; Release Date Could Be Delayed
Fans of "Narcos" season 2 have been waiting for a detailed update regarding the sequel, but it seems like they need to wait a bit longer.
According to new reports, "Narcos" showrunner Adam Fierro left the project because his contract has ended. Given the fact that Fierro has dropped the season 2 project, this could affect the release date of the TV show.
Fierro has been hired to write and break the plots for "Narcos" and the fans are reportedly saddened to know that he will not be working on the next plot.
Even before Fierro took over the "Narcos" season 1, it was Chris Brancato who had the project first but he did not work for the pioneering episodes. Will the creators of the show award the project to Brancato this time?
"He joined midway the development of the freshman season and helped out show co-creators Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro finish up the whole thing," Christian Today reported.
Reports claimed that the release date could be moved and might be delayed since there is no showrunner to help with the writing and editing of the episodes.
However, the show will go on and fans will surely see more of the Pablo Escobar crime drama as executive producers Jose Padilha and Eric Newman have been working on season 2's plot while looking for the next showrunner.
Wagner Moura will be returning to the TV show to play his character Pablo Escobar.
"Narcos" is a story about drug kingpin Escobar. It is an American crime drama that tackles about his transactions with numerous drug dealers, control enforcers, and other drug lords in Colombia.
