For the first time in eight years, word-famous Canadian circus group Cirque Du Soleil returns to Seoul, South Korea for their gravity-defying whimsical "Quidam."

Korea Herald noted on Wednesday the group's first performance in South Korea was back in 2007, which ranked number one in ticket sales for over nine weeks as the most-watched live show that year.

"Cirque du Soleil is known to perform at grand arenas and only in cities that are very populous and have high cultural demand among the locals," said local production company for the group Mast Entertainment head Kim Young Gwan. "That is why it is a great honor to have the show perform at the theater in the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul."

The "Quidam" show of Cirque Du Soleil in Seoul will feature death-defying stunts and aerobatics with the story revolving on a young girl named Zoe who, out of boredom, wandered off into a fantasy land.

With acts, including juggling, balancing, flying and contorting, the show will put the audience on the edge of their seats and will be left wondering about the extent of human physical possibilities.
"Cirque du Soleil who started by its co-founder Guy Laliberte, who looked around everywhere to handpick talented street performers all around the world regardless of their nationalities," said the group's publicist on tour, Jessica Leboeuf. "As a result, Cirque du Soleil has developed since 1984 from a group of street performers based on Canada to the world's biggest circus troupe having its base in Quebec."

Cirque Du Soleil will perform "Quidam" on stage from September until Nov. 1, with tickets ranging from 60,000 won to 250,000 won, which can be bought online at www.interpark.com.
