Rob Kardashian's Weight Gain Caused By Grief? Khloe Talks About Brother's Health Issues
Khloe Kardashian has revealed that her brother, Rob Kardashian, felt lost after the death of their father as the "KUWTK" star hinted that it might have something to do with the sock entrepreneur's weight gain.
Their dad, Robert Kardashian Sr., was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and passed away late 2003 at the age of 59. Rob Kardashian granted his dad's wish in going to college.
"He kind of had no direction, and I feel like he felt lost there, and I think that's when he started dealing with my father's passing," Us Magazine quoted Khloe Kardashian as saying during "Watch What Happens Live" With Andy Cohen last Sunday, Jan. 17.
Rob Kardashian has been having some problems about his weight gain during the past couple of years, which reportedly ballooned to over 300 pounds at its worst.
"And then breakups and all this stuff happened, which I think added to other things in his life, but it's issues he had to deal with from the start that he just didn't," she said.
The 31-year old star quickly added that Rob Kardashian has no ill-feelings toward his siblings over his weight gain, as reported by E Online.
"I don't think he blames any of us. We talk about stuff all the time. I think Rob hit a dark place more so dealing with my dad's death," she explained to Andy Cohen.
Based on The Spec, the 28-year-old sock designer is eager to go back to the family's show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
"He wants to still come back and shoot the show, he just wants to feel good. It's not that he doesn't want to be on the show, it's just he wasn't feeling good," "KUWTK" matriarch Kris Jenner added.
"I think Rob enjoys all the family stuff we do. He has his business, his sock line and his stuff. But I think that it was just the perfect time for him to take like a little hiatus. We said, 'Just get well. Feel better.' He was depressed and just wasn't feeling good and didn't know why."
So far, Rob Kardashian has been coping following his recent diagnosis of diabetes as an onset of his weight gain, and his family is supporting him all the way.
