Khloe Kardashian Compares James Harden To Lamar Odom, Explains Her Preference For NBA Stars
Khloe Kardashian compared beau James Harden to her estranged husband, Lamar Odom. In an interview with Howard Stern reported by Us Weekly, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star explained her preference for NBA stars.
The 31-year-old admitted that maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle has caused her to be more attracted to "a certain type," such as Houston Rockets shooting guard and former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom.
"Especially now that I'm athletic," she said. "I like athletes. I like to be active."
Just as how her marriage to her ex ended due to infidelity issues, the relationship of Khloe Kardashian and James Harden has also long been hounded by cheating rumors. However, the reality star brushed off so-called athlete stereotypes when Howard Stern advised her to stop dating basketball players.
"I've heard [it all] before," she dismissed.
The youngest Kardashian sister also clarified that she does not go to NBA games to hunt for men, then shared how she met her current beau.
"I don't actually [go to the games]," she laughed. "Kimberly threw Kanye a birthday party at the Staples Center, we rented it out, and she had all of his friends there and some athletes were playing basketball and so I met [James] there."
Towards the end of 2015, rumors began circulating that the two broke up because of all the drama surrounding the reality star.
According to a report from OK! Magazine, Lamar Odom somewhat influenced the split, since his ex has been looking after him ever since his near-fatal drug overdose at a Las Vegas brothel last October.
The death scare also caused Khloe Kardashian to postpone her divorce to Lamar Odom, which has reportedly been stressing out James Harden. "It was too much for him," a source reportedly said. "The media scrutiny, her family's meddling and her mood swings drove him over the edge."
