'Dark Matter' Season 2 Spoilers: Will Six Get His Memories Back?

The first season of the science fiction television series "Dark Matter" ended its finale episode with the Galactic Authority invading the ship and capturing the members of the team. However, Six, played by Roger Cross, who happens to be one of the members, has apparently turned out to be an exemption.

The scenario fuelled up the viewers' curiosity that Six, whose other name in the series is Griffin Jones, has been in alliance with the Galactic Authority since the beginning, adding that he never had his memories lost and he still remembers everything.

The finale episode of "Dark Matter" season 1 left the viewers with a handful of questions about Six's true agenda or if he really had forgotten everything about his true self.

While this has continued to make rounds in the headlines alongside several spoilers about what might happen in the upcoming season, showrunner Joseph Mallozi was quick to shut off some claims and revealed on his personal blog that Six never had his memories the whole time.

"The fact that he passed the lie detector test in Episode 103 makes it pretty clear that Six did not have his memory the whole time," said Mallozi. "In fact, we can't be sure that his memories were ever recovered over the course of season one."

Moreover, Mallozi also did not miss out pointing out the viewers' conclusion that Six might be working with the Galactic Authority. He said that Six was never in allegiance with the space colonizers, adding that what he has been showing since the beginning after losing his memories were real, at least to his knowledge.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, as quoted by Mallozi, the plot of "Dark Matter" season 1 surrounding Six and the Galaxy Authority was on point. When being asked about what he has in store for the upcoming season, he hinted that the events would be a bigger "holy shit" than the first season.

"The first season was about peeling the onion on these characters' backstories, finding out who they are, and it's very personal." said Mallozi.

He continued, "Season two we blow the doors off, do some world buidling, the past comes back to haunt and at the same time, the characters wrap up their exploration of their respective backstories."

"Dark Matter" has already been renewed for its second instalment, but the showrunners have not yet disclosed any details about the exact release of the series' premiere date.
