‘Allegiant’ Star Theo James The Next James Bond? Actor's Hugo Boss Campaign Paves Way For Spy Rumors
Ever since Theo James signed on to be the face of Hugo fragrance, rumors about the "Divergent Series: Allegiant" hunk being lined up to be the next James Bond started surfacing online.
Master Herald said that the 31-year-old British actor has the perfect looks to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond.
"Theo James is being considered because he is British, first and foremost, and he has the perfect smolder for the much-coveted role," noted the report in Master Herald. "If Theo gets the James Bond role, his girlfriend shall be very happy for him and that she is surely willing to wait a little longer for their wedding day."
Daniel Craig, who has signed a contract for five James Bond flicks, doesn't seem to be interested to reprise his role any longer after the very successful "Spectre."
"I'd rather ... slash my wrists," he said. "No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on."
"I don't know what the next step is. I've no idea," he added. "Not because I'm trying to be cagey. Who the f**k knows? At the moment, we've done it. I'm not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money."
Meanwhile, media outlets are already speculating about who will fill in for Daniel Craig's shoes to play James Bond, and "Divergent Series: Allegiant" star Theo James is not among them.
"Will it be the fan favorite, but controversial choice, Idris Elba? Or will the next James Bond be a more traditional choice (read: white) like Tom Hardy or Tom Hiddleston?" noted Bustle.
At this point, Theo James is not in any producer's radar to play James Bond, and the "Divergent Series: Allegiant" actor doesn't really have any masteplan about what kind of movies he chooses.
"In truth, I guess I kind of take things as they come. I'm a bit too much of a pragmatist so I kind of take it day by day" he said, as reported by MTV.
