UFC 193: Rousey v Holm

The women of mixed martial arts have truly proven their worth, especially with the recent success out of the first Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm title match that culminated last year.

However, as fans are demanding for a rematch, the Rousey-Holm bout might not follow through as people would want. Or will it push through?

In a recent interview, former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey dismissed rumors about her retiring from the sport. She even stated that there will be a rematch between her and Holly Holms sometime this 2016,  International Business Times pointed out.

After TMZ Sports TMZ caught up with the UFC fighter for an interview, Ronda Rousey said that although she will not appear in the upcoming UFC 200, she is definitely participating sometime this year.

When asked whether the decision falls squarely on her, the former UFC champion said that "it's a decision we are all going to make together."

"I mean, I'm kind of waiting to hear from them what options they are going to give me," she explained. "It's kind of more or like, 'What do you think of these?' and I'm like, 'Uhm, maybe some of those.'"

"I haven't gotten by the options yet."

When asked about the rematch, the iconic UFC fighter definitely confirmed that she wants that to happen.

"Of course," Rousey said. "That's all I wanted. What do you think we were talking about, man?"

However, it was recently announced that Holly Holm will be defending her title as the women's UFC Champion for the first time against upcoming contender Miesha Tate at UFC 197, Bleacher Report reported.

Rumors of Rousey retiring from the sport were bolstered when fans have seen the mixed martial arts fighter being busy with other endeavors such as her cover photoshoot for "Illustrated Swimsuit" and her hosting stint for "Saturday Night Live" on Jan. 23, Hollywood Life stated.

Moreover, according to MMA Junkie, it was noted that the reason why she won't be fighting at UFC 200 was because of a conflict with her filming schedule as per UFC President Dana White.
