Eddie Redmayne has been considered a misfit for 2016 Razzie nominations due to his Oscar entry for this year.

The 34-year-old British actor has been nominated for two contradicting awards this year, Golden Raspberry Award and Oscar.

The Independent reported that Eddie's 2016 Razzie nomination under Worst Supporting Actor category has surprised and shocked everyone.

The reason behind such astonishments is speculated to be Redmayne's Oscar win last year as "Best actor" for the film "Theory of Everything."

Additionally, some speculations also suggest that Eddie is a misfit under this category as he has been again nominated for an Oscar this year under Best Actor category for his revolutionary performance in the movie "The Danish Girl."

Further, Entertainment Weekly commented that Redmayne's 2016 Razzie nomination has clearly proven that his experiments with different roles have gone bad and failed.

Also, even though his role in the Oscar-nominated movie has received accolades, he has been criticized for his worst performance in the sci-fi movie.

Redmayne has received Razzie nominations for his supporting actor role in the film "Jupiter Ascending," where he played the character of a wealthy business tycoon with a powerful space family background.

Moving on, the other Razzie nominees who have been considered misfit for the award include Julianne Moore and Rooney Mara, as reported by Perez Hilton.

Julianne Moore has been nominated under the Worst Supporting Actress category for her film "Seventh Son." Gold Derby reported that this is the first Razzie nomination for Moore as a worst actress. The speculation that Julianne is a misfit for such nomination is due to her best actress award at Oscar in 2014.

Likewise, US Magazine reported that Rooney Mara has received Razzie nomination under the same category for her role in the movie "Peter Pan," despite her best performance in the movie "Carol," which received high accolades from the Critics.

Rooney has also received an Oscar nomination for her role in "Carol" under Best Supporting Actress category.

Lastly, Hollywood Reporter claimed that producer, Simon Kinberg, has also received Razzie nomination this year for his work in the movie "Fantastic Four."

Simon has also secured an Oscar entry this year for best picture as a producer for his film "The Martian."
