'Yakuza 6' Demo Exclusive To PS4 Set On Jan. 21 Following 'Yakuza Kiwami' Release Date
The release date for "Yakuza 6" demo and "Yakuza Kiwami" for PS3 and PS4 consoles has been announced.
Players who pre-ordered "Yakuza Kiwami" will be able to play the "Yakuza 6" demo on Jan. 28. The demo version will be exclusive to PS4 console only. However, it will be available on both PS3 and PS4 when the game is officially launched, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
According to DualShockers, players who pre-ordered "Yakuza Kiwami" (known in Japan as "Ryū ga Gotoku Kiwami") at retailer stores will receive a code that will grant access to "Yakuza 6" demo. Meanwhile, digital copies automatically grant access to players' accounts.
"Yakuza 6" size demo is yet to be announced. But ahead of its release, players are advised to clear up their memories as the "Yakuza" series had been known to eat up a big chunk of space.
"The demo puts players in control of Kazuma Kiryu, who can walk around Tokyo's Kamurocho district and experience drama scenes and battles," Gematsu wrote.
Attack of the Fanboy added that 2016 is a big year of the "Yakuza" series as three titles will be released. It is being said that a sequel, prequel and remake will be hitting different gaming platforms some time this year.
Meanwhile, a "Yakuza Kiwami" limited PS4 console will also be released in Japan, Siliconera reported.
The special console includes 500GB PlayStation 4 model (Jet Black/Glacier White) x1; Wireless Controller (DualShock 4) x1, "Yakuza Kiwami" PS4 HDD Bay Cover x1; Monoaural Headset x1; Power Cord x1; HDMI Cable x1 and USB Cable x1.
The limited edition PS4 console costs 36,980 yen excluding tax. While the "Yakuza Kiwami" game will be sold separately, as it is not included in the console.
The game developer has yet to announce the release date for "Yakuza 6" and "Yakuza Kiwami" outside of Japan.
