Mel Gibson Flaunts Rosalind Ross; 24-Year-Old Girlfriend Apparently A Millionaire
Rosalind Ross, the 24-year-old girlfriend of Mel Gibson, is having a hard time dealing with the "unpleasant" attention around her controversial relationship.
Ross, an Olympic medalist in equestrian, was spotted with Gibson, 60, at Sunday night's Golden Globes and has since been making headlines. Though she walked the red carpet alongside the "Lethal Weapon" actor, she claims that she wants to keep her life "private."
Ross' close friend and former vaulting partner Devon Maitozo says she's been struggling with the "negative attention" that comes with dating the Australian actor and now just wants to "get on with her life."
'There's been a lot of very not very nice media that's been written about her," Maitozo, 33, said in an interview with Daily Mail Online. "Sifting through it has not been very pleasant at all. Sensationalizing her because of her relationships is not what she's looking for."
"She would probably enjoy it if it was about her and her career instead of her being the girlfriend of a celebrity but it's not and so she'd like to keep her life private," he added. "She's just a young girl and wants to get on with her life without all the attention."
Mirror UK reports that the couple met in July when the 24-year-old applied for a job at Mel Gibson's production company - Icon.
"They started their romantic getaway in Costa Rica, hiding out in Playa Barrigona, where he owns a 500-acre tropical sanctuary in the middle of the jungle, before heading to Panama," their source states. "It's clear the two of them are really happy together."
