Melissa McCarthy Shines In 'The Boss' Movie Trailer; Actress' Weight Loss Very Apparent!
Universal Pictures recently released a trailer for the Melissa McCarthy movie entitled "The Boss." The movie, which also stars Kristen Bell and is set to be released in April, features just how much weight loss the comedienne has had.
"The Boss," which is directed by Melissa McCarthy's real life husband, Ben Falcone, stars the actress as a business mogul named Michelle Darnell.
In the movie, he character was incarcerated for illegal insider trading. After serving her time in jail, she was eventually freed but all her assets were seized making her penniless.
Kristen Bell plays her loyal former assistant with whom Melissa McCarthy's character worked with so the latter can get back on track. In order to raise money, the two organized a team of young children and turned it into a successful brownie-selling group.
"The Boss" was written by Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone and Steve Mallory. The movie also stars Peter Dinklage, Kristen Schaal and Kathy Bates, Tyler Labine and Margo Martindale.
Melissa McCarthy has gained much media attention lately as she shocked the community after her 50-lbs weight loss journey. "The Boss" movie star claimed that she was able to achieve the feat through sheer hard work, strict diet and exercise.
According to Latinos Health, part of McCarthy's diet is dropping significant consumption of pasta and bread. The actress is also doing Pilates.
Reportedly, her movie "Spy" is what initiated her to pursue exercise and diet. Her role for the movie required Melissa McCarthy to do a handful of fight sequences.
Regarding her weight loss, Melissa McCarthy told Life & Style Magazine, "I truly stopped worrying about it. It think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked."
Despite losing her long running sitcom, "Mike & Molly," after it was cancelled just before season 6, the actress still has a full schedule ahead.
Her second movie of the year, "Ghostbusters," is scheduled for a July release.
