'Cosmos' Season 2 Release Date To Be Announced In Few Months? To Focus On 21st Century Issues?
The latest speculations tease that the release date for "Cosmos" season 2 will be announced in a few months' time.
Neil deGrasse Tyson, the presenter and the executive producer of the show, recently revealed details about the season 2 of the science-based series during the promotion of the new "Star Trek" series.
He said that the next season for "Cosmos" is under works and its release date will be publicized in the coming days.
"Iconic science show 'Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey' isn't dead at Fox," said Neil as reported by Business Insider. "We should know soon, within a month possibly."
Furthermore, Tyson revealed that he has met few people from the Fox network and they are now trying to work out a release date for the show.
"Nothing's green lit, but we're getting the band back together and we're meeting with some of the heads of the Fox network by the end of the month," said the astrophysicist as reported by Youth Health Magazine.
Likewise, the former executive producer of the show had earlier tweeted in December 2014 that the discussions were going on for the season 2 of "Cosmos."
Moving on, Tyson also teased that the new season will consist of issues related to the present time. The speculations also suggest that the new episodes of "Cosmos" will try to provide solutions to the problems of people of the current generation.
Neil also revealed that the season 2 of "Cosmos" will feature the same type of visualizations, animations, similar music and a parallel storyline.
Some of the spoilers suggest that the season 2 will feature the original creative artist duo consisting of writer Ann Druyan and astronomer Steven Soter.
When-will.net reported that the first season of "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" was aired via Fox network and Nat Geo channel on Mar. 9, 2014.
