Motorola Moto E To Finally Get Android Marshmallow 6.0 Update Soon!
Multinational telecommunications company, Motorola, is currently upgrading its Android smartphone devices with the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
Accordingly, the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update will most likely happen in the first quarter of this year.
The latest Motorola smartphone device to get the new Android M will be Motorola Moto E (2015). However, there is no confirmation whether Motorola Moto E (2014) models will be updated or not, NeuroGadget.com stated.
According to GSM Arena, users were previously disappointed to learn that the second generation of Moto E will not be receiving the Android 6.0 update on their devices. The said model, which was launched in Q1 of 2015, has been conspicuously absent from the published list receiving the Android M update.
With that being said Gadgets 360 reported that the second generation Motorola Moto E will now finally get an Android Marshmallow 6.0 update.
"And while other smartphones in this category don't always support upgrades, we won't forget about you, and we'll make sure your Moto E stays up to date after you buy it," Magno Herran, Moto E's marketing manager, told a customer back in February 2015 during a demo video as reported by Tech Times.
Motorola Moto E devices from Canada, United States, Asia, Latin America and Europe will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update while China market is still missing from the list, Android Central revealed.
"We think Android is one of the best phone ingredients out there, and there are some sweet enhancements with Marshmallow that we're excited about," Motorola stated in a blog post.
The company will also be launching Doze Mode, Android Pay, Google Now on Tap, Direct Share and Simpler Volume Controls on its devices.
Other models from Motorola such as Droid Turbo and Moto Maxx are although eligible for receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update but their release time still remains unknown, International Business Times claimed.
