Improved Fossil Q Smartwatch Features Revealed! Specs Of Wearable Gadget Detailed

Fossil has officially revealed the new Fossil Q54 Pilot smartwatch, which is the fifth wearable gadget and the third smartwatch from the company's product lineage.

The new and improved Fossil Q smartwatch comes as another addition to pushing the company's fashionable line of wearable technologies and has a design that's "inspired by vintage aviation."

Luxury watchmaker Fossil, for its part, wants to bet big on the wearable technology market this year. It has already announced that it will launch nearly 100 wearables in 2016 making its daunting mark in the said gadgets market, TechTimes reported.

"As a brand, we are really proud and excited about the initial response to Fossil Q wearables to date, it has exceeded our expectations," Jill Elliott-Sones, Fossil's chief creative officer, said. "Given that, we are more committed than ever to bring our design expertise as watchmakers into the wearable technology space."

The new improved Fossil Q smartwatch readily pairs with iPhones as well as all Android devices. Earlier models faced pairing issues with its wearables with various smartphones, which have reportedly been tackled in the latest models.

The new Q54 Pilot takes subtle approach meaning there is no touch screen. This means users will not be able to read phone notifications. However, it has built-in vibration motor to give a nudge while receiving notifications along with a series of LEDs. Each coloured LED can be customised to know who has sent the notification. The Q notifications will also be supporting various apps like Misfit and Tinder, Wareable.com reported.

The new Fossil Q smartwatch also has a power packed motion sensors that minutely track activity steps, calories and distances. Further, it will offer Q Dreamer activity tracker in two new looks, Tortoiseshell and Shimmer Horn models.

The new Fossil Q smartwatch models will be available in Spring 2016 costing between $175 to $215.

The Dreamer models will be available at around $145, Wareable.com claimed.
