1-Directioners may think that 2016 doesn't have a good start as news spread that One Direction is breaking up for good this year, according to Vulture

As one can recall, it was back in August when the British-Irish boy-band made an announcement that they are going to be on "hiatus" mode. "We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well-earned break," according to the members Harry Styles, Louis Tomlin, Liam Payne and Niall Horan. But the news was in general not taken lightly by fans, even though that they have been fervently insisting that they are just on a break.

Fast forward on Wednesday, the same news resurfaced that a source told US Weekly that the band will no longer return as they are breaking up permanently. So, again, is One Direction breaking up this 2016? According to USA Today, it is the same situation as before.

A different source told USA Today that the guys have not gone into separate directions as they are just simply on break. And it's not just USA Today who downplayed the news; even Billboard reported that its sources said nothing had changed since the boys went into their hiatus. In addition, the source claims that One Direction will be back very soon. "Nothing has changed regarding hiatus plans for the group," the source said. "And all will be revealed in due time from the band members' own mouths."

In conclusion, One Direction is not breaking up, according to sources. Fans are saying that perhaps they have something in store for 2016. After Zayn Malik left the group last year, the band has been doing solo acts here and there and released an album, "Made in the AM," late last year.
