'Shokugeki No Soma' Season 2 Release Date Set For April 2016? To Feature Stagiaire Arc?

The release date for season 2 of "Shokugeki No Soma" has been recently confirmed and set for April this year.

The upcoming season of the anime series was recently hinted via the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. The magazine released its latest issue with the picture of the anime's lead characters.

J.C. Staff Studio has lately also revealed that the season 2 of "Shokugeki No Soma" is under works and slated to air this year, When-Will.net reported.

Even though no additional information was revealed by the studio, the speculations suggest that the release date for the new season of the anime series is set to be in April 2016.

Moving on, the upcoming season 2 of "Shokugeki No Soma" is rumored to be based on the Stagiaire story arc, Reddit users claimed. Some speculations also suggest that the new season will begin with a main tournament and end with Autumn Leaf Viewing story arc.

Some spoilers also suggest that the season 2 of the adventure anime series will feature manga chapters from 61 to 120, adding that the new season will consist of 12 episodes.

Furthermore, Youth Health Magazine reported that the season 2 is also speculated to focus on Azami and his daughter, Erina Nakiri. The spoilers also reveal that Azami will rule all over the Tootsuki kingdom.

My Anime List reported that the season 1 of the anime series aired around 24 episodes featuring the lead character named Yukihira Souma in various cooking contests.

The anime series is all about his cooking obsession with the desire to win the culinary battle.

Anime News Network reported that the 18th edition of "Shokugeki No Soma" manga will also include a DVD, which will consist of an episode centered on the Aldini brothers.

The release date for the manga edition is yet to be confirmed, but its pre-orders will be closed by Feb. 29.
