Xiaomi Mi 5 Release Date Set On Feb. 20? Full Specs Leaked! Plus Variant In Tow
Ahead of the scheduled release date of Xiaomi Mi 5, its full specs and press render makes the round again.
Reportedly, the upcoming Xioami Mi 5 will be unveiled on Jan. 20 and will hit store shelves after Chinee New Year. As the alleged release date is fast approaching, new rumors claim that the Chinese flagship device will debut on Feb. 20 while Official release will follow on Feb. 21, Android Headlines reported.
Xiaomi Mi 5 official specs and features has also surfaced online as Gear Best, one of China's largest online retailer listed the phone, according to GSM Arena.
Going by the leaked specs and features, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will sport a 5.2inch screen display with a Full HD resolution and 556 ppi. Underneath, will be the latest Snapdragon 820 with 3GB of RAM. Its internal storage was at 16GB, and will come in different storage option. As to previous rumors, it won't be expandable.
Additionally, it has a 16MP rear shooter and 8MP front camera. The phone will be fueled by a 3,600mah battery. As far network support is concerned, 4G LTE support and dual sim options were mentioned. The phone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with Xiaomi MIUI 7 on top of it.
Gear Best also listed the phone in three different color options of Gold, Black and White.
Interestingly, these specs and features of the Xioami Mi 5 listed on Gear Best could be legit as it coincides with the previous leaks.
GSM Arena added that an insider from the Chinese tech company claims the Xiaomi Mi 5 will come out in with another Plus variant. With that being said, the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus will come out with a full metal body design with QHD resolution, whilst the other will sport a 2.5D glass on the back and full HD resolution.
