Jessica Simpson HSN News: Singer Turned Fashion Mogul Observed Slurring In A Home Shopping Network Episode Appearance; Ex-Husband, Nick Lachey, Simpson’s Biggest Money Mistake?
Jessica Simpson's fashion line promotion appearance in the Home Shopping Network on Wednesday just might have left the show's audience baffled. The Hollywood Life reported that "The Dukes of Hazard" singer was observed to have been slurring and stumbling while talking in the show.
The 35-year old fashion entrepreneur drunk during her appearance in the show was not what Simpson's family and friends had in mind. A TMZ article reported that people close to the star said Simpson's awkward giggling and slurring was a part of her personality at times.
Simpson's mother, Tina, also participated in that HSN taping with her daughter, E! Online reported.
Simpson's ex-husband, Nick Lachey, felt bad after seeing his ex-wife's antics on television. As reported in Hollywood Life, a source close to the singer's former husband said, "He's embarrassed for her."
"Nick says Jessica will most likely deny any reports that she was intoxicated. He's just glad that he's not in that chaotic mess of a relationship anymore!"
The source's comments came after Jessica dissed her first marriage in an appearance in "Closing Bell" on Sept. 10 in CNBC. When the show's host, Kelly Evans, asked the clothing entrepreneur what her major money mistake was, Simpson responded by saying, "The biggest money mistakes? I don't know. For some reason I thought of my first marriage!"
Simpson appeared on "Closing Bell" to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of her fashion collection business.
Such incident wasn't the first time Jessica was seen acting strangely live on TV. In an appearance in "Extra" on March, she shared ways on how she has been managing her hectic family and work life daily in an interview. Afterwards, she suddenly made a comment on air that was totally off the topic, saying, "Even in our collection we do kids... so, dressing my daughter is really fun, so... that inspires me, especially right now."
