Last episode, Liz (Dennis O'Hare) and Iris (Kathy Bates) were finally able to kill off The Countess with a help from Ramona (Angela Bassett). Although the duo stormed the hotel with guns blazing, The Countess was able to escape the scene thanks to Sally's (Sarah Paulson) help. She didn't escape unscathed, however.
Donovan (Matt Bomer), however, wasn't as lucky. Thankfully, Liz and Iris were able to drag him outside of the hotel before he died so that his soul won't be stuck in the cursed place.
When they failed to kill The Countess, Liz and Iris turned to Ramona for help. However, she needed fresh blood to gain strength. This was when Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) stepped in, who was killed by James March (Evan Peters) so that the witch could take her blood.
Weakened by Liz and Iris' assault, The Countess only managed to seduce Ramona before the witch could kill her off. Too bad John (Wes Bentley) was there to finish the job, completing the Ten Commandments killing. The Countess was left as an angry ghost inside her own hotel.
