Rafael Dos Anjos' Camp Promises To Brutally Beat Conor McGregor In Next Fight

Conor McGregor's next fight is probably against Rafael Dos Anjos in the lightweight division.

Jeremy Botter of Bleacher Report said that a Conor McGregor - Rafael Dos Anjos fight could go down in UFC 197.

Dos Anjos previously said he will give the Irish fighter hell once he step up in weight class. Now, his trainer warned that McGregor will be welcomed in a manner he and his fans won't like.

"Rafael is really happy to 'welcome' him in a brutal way to the lightweight division," said Rafael Cordeiro, Dos Anjos's trainer, according to report by Sherdog.

Cordeiro also expressed confidence that his man can beat the current Ultimate Fight Championship sensation, who, just a couple months ago, K.O.-ed Jose Aldo in the featherweight class.

"It's a fighter that we truly believe we can beat," he said. "He's coming from a lower division, and he can be sure that he'll face a strong champion who will not change his style," he added.

"McGregor has already proven to be a great athlete, but we have five rounds to beat him and Rafael is coming in hungry to beat him, not only physically but spiritually, and to break his soul inside the Octagon."

Details of Conor McGregor - Rafael Dos Anjos fight are yet to be revealed and UFC President Dana White is yet to confirm the report regarding the next bout.

In November, Dos Anjos already fired a shot at McGregor.

"Listen, McGregor, if you want to come to the lightweight division, this is my division," said Dos Anjos as per ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

While this is a huge challenge for the 27-year old, Dana White is confident he can pull it off.

"Conor has said that he would like to win the 155-pound belt and fight four times a year and defend both belts," White said MMAFighting.com. "If anybody can do it, Conor McGregor can. This guy has pretty done everything he said he would do. I'm interested."

If ever this pushes through, the Conor McGregor - Rafael Dos Anjos fight will be the main event of UFC 197, which will take place on Mar. 5 in Las Vegas.
