The second instalment of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, the "Fifty Shades Darker," is set to start filming on Feb. 9 and recent news claimed that the movie is expected to work on a smaller budget as compared to the first film.

While "Fifty Shades of Grey" was given a production budget of $40 million, the second one will get "over $20 million," Melty.com revealed.

"Although it doesn't indicate how much over that mark the budget is, it is interesting since the first film had a budget of $40 million and went on to make $570 million worldwide," the latest "Fifty Shades Darker" news stated.

The report went on to disclose that, "There's no indication as to why the budget for 'Darker' has been cut in half, but maybe it has to do with the fact that 'Freed' will be filmed right after it."

Meanwhile, it was noted that even if it was already announced that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will reprise their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia "Ana" Steele, respectively, "There's still no word from Universal on who will play the secondary characters of Leila Williams, Jack Hyde and Mrs. Robinson. "

On the other hand, The Hollywood Reporter dished that Oscar winner Anne V. Coates shared her thoughts about being part of "Fifty Shades of Grey" production, the movie prior to the much-anticipated "Fifty Shades Darker."

The renowned British film editor pointed out that "It was kind of fun." However, she thought that "it could have been a little more raunchy myself."

She continued by saying, "Creatively, it was quite interesting because they were trying to get as sexy as they could and get an R rating. So we were very delicately going around some of the scenes."
