Instagram Changes Terms Of Service, Stirs Anger Among Users

Apple's 3D Touch feature just landed on Instagram's Android version as the first app to acquire similar functionality.

It was already available and can only be activated by a long press because Android smartphones doesn't have pressure sensitive display screen unlike Apple devices that have. The feature doesn't require the same technology as the iOS however, it still offers more efficient navigation for the image-sharing app, according to The Verge.

The 3D Touch technology first integrated by Apple into iPhone 6 and 6S, which users can utilize the smartphone by subtle taps. The same one was developed for scanning photos within the app's thread, which they can pop a preview of it by a long press. The image sharing company has allegedly been following Apple's path and recognized that the feature can function the same way without the pressure sensitive screen, according to Android Police.

The 3D Touch Instagram feature on Android is still capable of displaying the normal grid of images on its home panel. Users can also close or exit a photo preview by swiping their finger towards the edge of the screen. Although the option is still under beta development, but will allegedly soon to be integrated into the official mobile platform, according to Engadget.

Along with the zoomed in photo glimpse, users can also like, leave a comment or share it by just moving over to either one of the buttons without having to press it. It will be available for the Instagram version  7.13.0 that can be downloaded through APK Mirror since it's not yet officially released in Google Play Store. Once successful users can already utilize and enjoy the new option.

It was allegedly reported that on Dec. 8 the company has rolled out the feature in Google Play Store but got pulled out as it is still on its testing phase.
