"King's Quest Chapter 2" release date has been announced for Dec. 15, 2015, according to iDigitalTimes.

"King's Quest" is an ongoing, episodic video game series and a remake of the old "King's Quest" graphic novel series. The game series is developed by The Odd Gentlemen and published by Sierra Entertainment. The game is distributed by Activision.

It is an adventure game, but it is not a fully point-and-click game. This version is one of the several attempts to reboot the original series. The game is considered as a "reimagining" rather than a remake or a sequel to the original game franchise.

"King's Quest Chapter 2" release date has been announced through a video released by Sierra Games recently. Here is the video below.

The game will be available for purchase on Dec. 15 in North America. Europe will get the game on Dec. 16, according to PlayStationLifeStyle.net. "King's Quest Chapter 2: Rubble Without a Cause" will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and on the PC.

Matt Korba who is the co-founder of The Odd Gentlemen and also the creative director of the game has said that the series will not have the same structure as any other episodic video game, according to Polygon. The chapters of the game will be longer and more involved, according to the co-founder.

"This type of story means in each chapter we need to build a new model and animation sets for our main character as well as supporting cast," said the creative director. "All chapters have an overarching story that ties everything together but not in the traditional serialized 'to be continued' way."

The game developer is also changing the way the game will play from chapter to chapter. "A Knight to Remember" had open puzzle-solving gameplay while "King's Quest Chapter 2: Rubble Without a Cause" will have a darker mood and will center more on the escaping feature.
