Explosive Like ‘Dynamite’: BTS Takes Home Multiple Awards Prior To The 2022 Billboard Music Awards
The yearly Billboard Music Awards (aka the BBMAs) was recently broadcasted live from Las Vegas. Prior to the formal awards ceremony, Billboard has started to reveal a few of the winning artists and BTS once again did amazing, unsurprisingly.

Notably, BTS garnered their first nomination at the 2017 BBMAs in the Top Social Artist category, where they eventually won. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, have been the winning artists in that category for 6 consecutive years.
BTS is currently hoping to win it the 7th time as they are once again nominated this year.
Furthermore, BTS previously announced that they would not be attending this year's Billboard Music Awards because of their packed schedules. In 2021, they could not be at the BBMAs awards show due to COVID-19 safety guidelines.
But not wanting to disappoint fans, BTS perfectly did a virtual performance of their hit track "Butter."

For this year, BTS has been nominated for awards in six categories for the Billboard Music Awards. Here are the K-Pop boy group's nominations at the awards show:

Top Duo/Group - (This makes BTS tied with One Direction for the most wins in this category.)
Top Selling Song, "Butter" - (The group was nominated in this category for both "Butter," and "Permission to Dance.")
