CL Reveals The Real Reason Why 2NE1 Had A Coachella 2022 Reunion
K-pop fans and Blackjacks (the fandom name of 2NE1) from all over the world were recently stunned when 2NE1 made a surprise performance at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
The K-pop girl group reunited for the first time after 7 years, their last performance being at the 2015 MAMAs. Although the members of 2NE1 have not been together for almost a decade, the members still flawlessly performed their 2011 hit, "I Am The Best."

To further amp up the nostalgia, CL's most recent Instagram post had the 2NE1 leader talking about how 2NE1 made it to Coachella 2022. The K-pop idol was previously announced as a part of the lineup for 88rising's "HEAD IN THE CLOUDS FOREVER" showcase.
But instead of taking the spotlight on by herself, the 2NE1 leader decided to bring the band back together. In CL's Instagram post, the K-pop idol talked about how thankful she was for everything in her career and why she decided to invite the other 2NE1 members.
As per CL, the reason why she wanted to invite the other 2NE1 members on stage for her Coachella 2022 performance was that she hoped that they would be able to reunite on their own before it was too late.
"By going on that stage, I really wanted to see the people who protected us and stayed with us all these times and thank them for the past 13 years of love and support for 2NE1. That being said, today has been such an important and meaningful day for me of all," 2NE1's CL added.
Furthermore, not only was the 2NE1 leader thankful for the opportunity, but CL also shared her emotions after 2NE1's performance. "I hope, with the emotions that flowed through us today, that we're able to remember and feel the things that we used to in the past," CL emotionally penned.
CL then expressed that she is grateful for her members who shined on stage with her on that day. She is also grateful to everyone who made such a performance possible. "I'm going to keep going until I get to perform the whole hour on my own," 2NE1's CL concluded.
