Netizens Surprised As IU Rejects K-Drama Penned By The Writer Of ‘Crash Landing On You’!

Just recently, K-pop soloist and actress IU surprises fans as she rejects a lead role offer for a K-drama headed by the writer of "Crash Landing On You."

As per an exclusive report, IU was previously discussing the role of a female lead role in writer Park Ji Eun's upcoming K-drama, "The Queen of Tears." The report revealed that IU and the production team had a plethora of discussions regarding the soloist joining the cast of the K-drama.

The upcoming K-drama "The Queen of Tears" will be written by Park Ji Eun, popular for "Crash Landing On You," "My Love From The Star," "Legend of the Blue Sea," and "The Producers." Director Lee Eun Bok is slated to direct the K-drama.

Furthermore, it was also explained that IU was in positive discussions about her role in the K-drama. But IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, went out to state that although IU did indeed receive the proposal for the lead female role, the K-pop soloist ultimately decided to not accept the offer.

IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, went on to state:

"We did receive a proposal for Park Ji Eun's new work The Queen of Tears, however, that is something that we have politely rejected."

Notably, IU is known for her skills in acting but she has not appeared in any K-drama since "Hotel Del Luna" 3 years ago in 2019. But fans fan expect IU makes her return to the small and big screen as she will be in the movie "Dream" and the upcoming K-drama "Money Game."
