Final K-Pop Group Lineup From ‘My Teenage Girl’ Draws The Ire Of Netizens! Find Out Why Here

Recently, the final member lineup for the upcoming K-pop girl group CLASSy, from MBC's competition program "My Teenage Girl," was released and not all netizens and fans reacted well.

The upcoming K-pop group consists of seven members. The members being Hyungseo, Chaewon, Hyeju, Riwon, Jimin, Boeun, and Seonyou. The members of CLASSy also have birth years ranging from 2001 to 2008, which makes their ages between 13 and 20.

Notably, the three youngest members, Seonyou, Boeun, and Jimin, were both born in 2008, 2008, and 2007, respectively. This means that CLASSy is making their debut with two fourteen-year-olds and a thirteen-year-old, which does not sit well with some K-pop fans.

Prior to the concern of K-pop fans, "My Teenage Girl" already received mixed reviews from viewers as more than half-dozen participants were 12 years old or below.

Now that the line-up for CLASSy has been revealed, K-pop fans are more vocal now more than ever. An online post on Reddit that tackles the ages of the CLASSy members has gotten viral and a myriad of fans have now shared what they really feel.

A lot of netizens agreed that K-pop idols are debuting at very young ages nowadays and that this should not be the case. Furthermore, other K-pop fans talked about the vast age difference between the CLASSy members.

Furthermore, the mental issues that might pop up from debuting as a K-pop idol at such a young age was tackled. Though not everyone felt the same, some K-pop fans talked about some good aspects.

Although each side had their own valid reason to be vocal, only time will tell if the age of the upcoming K-pop idols will truly be a problem.
