Legendary singer-songwriter Elton John serenaded his South Korean fans on Friday as he staged a concert in Seoul Friday which is part of his world tour concert. Yonhap News Agency reported Friday that the singer's world tour called "All the Hits" started earlier this year.

Unlike his other concerts, the renowned singer-songwriter performed before a small crowd at Understage, located in Itaewon.

Korea Joongang Daily noted Oct. 15 that the organizer of the concert is Hyundai Card, a credit card company in the country.

"It is hard to see the singer singing in a small venue. He used to have concerts at small spaces early in his career only," Hyundai Card says in a dispatch. "The concert will be a good chance to feel his music."

According to reports, Understage can only accommodate about 500 people. In addition, reports have revealed that the small-scale concert is "part of the Hyundai Card Curated series that brings budding musical talent and artists with long, prolific careers alike to the stage."

Further reports have revealed that the Seoul leg of John's world tour is the only concert on such a small-scale.

"This is an unprecedented concert," a representative from Hyundai Card says, as noted by Korea Herald Oct. 13. "Barring his early days, John has very rarely played such small shows."

In addition, Davey Johnstone (guitar), Matt Bissonette (bass), Kim Ballard (keyboard), John Mahon (percussion) and Nigel Olsson (drums) reportedly joined the legendary artist during the concert.

The 68-year-old artist is considered one of the best-selling music artists in the industry. John is best-known for his hit songs "Candle in the Wind," "Your Song," "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word," and "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" which is the official soundtrack of 1994 Disney animated film "The Lion King."
