JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids was scheduled to perform in  Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Season, Saudi Arabia's largest music festival. But the event was abruptly canceled due to the weather. Due to this, K-pop fans who already filled the concert grounds had transportation issues.

Following this, reports began surfacing on Twitter that female K-pop fans were being kidnapped after the postponement of Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Season, a concert where Stray Kids were going to perform.

Due to this, K-pop fans from all over the world and from a myriad of fandoms united to help as best as they could, even making the hashtag #STAYS trend. A plethora of Twitter Spaces were also made to fans who were lost or needed help.

Not long after, Stray Kids fans from Saudi Arabia who returned from the venue shared that the actual situation was both calm and safe. It was also seen that police were helping and protecting K-pop fans at the venue.

Furthermore, buses that were assembled by Stray Kids fans helped many K-pop fans reach their home safely. This was a huge contrast to what was being reported online on Twitter.

A number of K-pop fans who were said to have been missing after the Stray Kids event and were found safe, were actually fake as well.

Additionally, a Saudi Arabian media source confirmed that it was not true that K-pop fans were being kidnapped at the event where Stray Kids were. As per their reports, those who continue to spread the false rumors will be legally prosecuted.
