Previously on the 25th of December, Big Hit Music announced that BTS's Jin was positive for COVID-19. The label expressed that Jin became fully vaccinated in August but was still having chills and a fever.

It was further revealed that the symptoms were mild, but Big Hit Music still decided to take a COVID-19 test. By that evening, BTS Jin went on to test positive for the COVID-19 virus.

BTS Jin was then administered self-care at home following the protocol directions of South Korea's healthcare authorities. Not long after, Big Hit Music announced on the 4th of January that BTS Jin had completely recovered from COVID-19, alongside BTS' RM and Suga.

After the announcement, BTS's J-Hope went on Instagram to upload a photo of him wearing a brown hat and coat over grey sweatpants and a sweater. The BTS member captioned the update with; "#outfit" with other emojis.

Soon after BTS J-Hope's Instagram update, BTS Jin went on to leave a comment that made ARMYs worry.

BTS Jin commented, "J-Hope, I lost 4kg. You have got to buy me something to eat." BTS J-Hope went on to reply that Jin lost too much weight alongside a sad emoji, showing how much the members of BTS really care about one another.

BTS Jin losing 4kg (which is around 8.8lbs) is a lot, and fans are hoping he regains that weight after recovering from COVID-19.
