The End Of The Line For 2PM? JYP Entertainment Announces 2PM’s Status As A Group!

Could 2PM possibly be disbanding after Chansung's recent announcement of parting ways with JYP Entertainment?

Just recently, JYP Entertainment has gone on to drop a statement regarding the contract of the other members of 2PM after Chansung's announcement that he is leaving the entertainment label.

As of writing this article, yesterday on the 15th of December, 2PM's Chansung went on to share his future plans to netizens and fans. The 2PM member announced that he is finally getting married and that his fiancée is also currently pregnant. 

2PM's Chansung also revealed that his contract with his longtime agency, JYP Entertainment, would be ending in January of next year and due to personal reasons, he would not be renewing his contract after it ends.

Not long after the news of 2PM Chansung's departure, JYP Entertainment assured fans and netizens that the other 2PM members; Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, and Lee Junho, will not be leaving the agency and still have a long-term contract with the label.

2PM's Taecyeon, who has previously decided not to renew his contract with JYP Entertainment back in January 2018, is at present the only member of the K-pop boy group who is signed to a different label.

A JYP Entertainment representative expressed, "When the 2PM members renewed their contracts, every member ended up with a different contract period, and in Chansung's case, his contract period has ended. The remaining members Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Junho still have a lot of time left on their contracts."
