2021 is coming to a close and with it comes a plethora of lists and rankings containing data that has been gathered from the beginning up until the end of this year, more particularly, data regarding one of the most popular topics of this year; K-pop.
Twitter tracked and collected tweets from all over the world to do research on finding out the most popular K-pop groups on their social media site. The data ranged from the dates within the 1st of January up until the end of November.
Tweets are a perfect way to gauge the popularity of the K-pop groups as non-fans (who are not following the K-pop artists on Twitter) and fans alike are able to post a tweet about them.

#7 Pledis Entertainment's SEVENTEEN - with 8.2 million followers
#6 BELIFT LAB's ENHYPEN - with 4 million followers
#5 YG Entertainment's TREASURE - with 1.5 million followers
#4 YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK - with 7.7 million followers
#3 SM Entertainment's EXO - with 12.3 million followers
#2 SM Entertainment's NCT - with 7.9 million followers
#1 HYBE's BTS - with 35.9 million followers
