NME’s Best Songs Of 2021 List Include aespa’s ‘Next Level’ & BTS’s ‘Butter’!

To the delight of ARMYs and MYs, both BTS and aespa were able to make NME's list of the 50 best songs of 2021!

As of writing this article, today on the 8th of December, the British magazine New Musical Express (aka NME) dropped their list of the year's best songs which features 50 tracks of varying genres from a plethora of talented artists.

Notably, NME's list this year was able to feature two Korean artists; HYBE's BTS and SM Entertainment's very own aespa.

SM Entertainment's aespa sits comfortably at the 45th spot with their hit song "Next Level." NME praises aespa by saying that their hit song was able to pull 'hip-hop and e-girl into cyberpunk.'

The British magazine also asks its readers to view the music video for aespa's "Next Level" to see the K-pop girl group's amazing choreography. "Next Level" also became an instant hit on TikTok due to its aforementioned addictive dance moves.

To add to this, HYBE's BTS was able to place 10th with their hit track "Butter." The BTS song is described as 'a feel-good summer smash and an instant pick-me-up' to the delight of ARMYs who completely agree.

Congratulations to both HYBE's BTS and SM Entertainment's aespa on making NME's list of the 50 best songs of 2021! 2021 is truly the year for K-pop!
