‘I-LAND 2’ Launches, Mnet & HYBE Gearing Up To Drop Sister Group Of Enhypen!

"I-Land" was previously a South Korean boy group survival reality program that was under Belift Lab, which was a joint venture between the entertainment labels CJ E&M and HYBE Corporation.

In "I-Land", a total of 23 male trainees joined in on the show, and on the program's finale on the 18th of September last year, the final 7 participants of the show made their debuts as members of ENHYPEN.

The contestants who won in "I-Land" were Yang Jung-won, Lee Hee-seung, Ni-ki, Jake, Jay, Park Sung-hoon, and Kim Sun-oo. The first six winners were chosen via global ranking and the last contestant was chosen by the producers.

Due to the popularity of "I-Land", Mnet and HYBE are slated to launch another survival show but this time for the sister group of ENHYPEN. Just recently, Mnet and HYBE have officially announced the start of "I-Land 2" and is scheduled to create the sister group of ENHYPEN!

As per a press release shared by CJ ENM, "I-Land 2" has officially begun its production and it was further announced that they are accepting applicants for the program's second season, which will form a girl group. 

The girl group that will be made up of the winners will work hand in hand with ENHYPEN under BELIFT LAB.

Any female born between the 1st of January, 2000 and 31st of December, 2009 will be allowed to apply for the show. Nationality is not important.

Beginning today, as of writing this article, on the 27th of September, up until the 10th of October. Furthermore, auditions will be held in seven countries around the world. The regions being Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand, the United States, and one more surprise location.

"I-Land 2" is scheduled to begin broadcasting next year in 2022.
