Kim Soo Hyun And Seo Ye Ji’s ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay’ Is Nominated For 2021 International Emmy Awards

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is an organization that includes leading media and entertainment figures from over 60 countries. Through the annual International Emmy Awards, the award-giving body recognizes television programming that is produced and aired outside the United States.

Recently, the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees across 11 categories for the 2021 International Emmy Awards. The 11 categories include "Art Programming," "Best Performance By An Actor," "Best Performance By An Actress," "Comedy," "Documentary," "Drama Series" "Non-English Language U.S Primetime Program," "Non-Scripted Entertainment," "Short-Form Series," "Telenovela," and "TV Movie/mini-Series."

For this year's International Emmy Awards, South Korea bagged two nominations.

First, CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment's 2020 idol-survival audition show "I-LAND" was nominated for the "Non-Scripted Entertainment" category of the International Emmy Awards. The survival show was a hit and its product boy group "ENHYPEN" is a force that is making its name in the K-Pop industry.

Other nominees for the "Non-Scripted Entertainment" category are "Da's Liefde! [That's Love!]" by Shelter (Belgium), "¿Quién es la Máscara? [The Masked Singer] - Season 2" by

Televisa / EndemolShine Boomdog (Mexico), and "The Masked Singer" by Bandicoot Scotland / ITV (United Kingdom).

Additionally, CJ ENM secures another International Emmy nomination with the hit 2020 K-Drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay." The drama produced by Studio Dragon and was aired on tvN in 2020 was nominated for the "TV Movie/Mini-Series" category. "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" stars South Korean A-list actor Kim Soo Hyun alongside Seo Ye Ji, Oh Jung Se, and Park Gyu Young."

Nominated alongside "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" for the "TV Movie/ Mini-Series" category are "Atlantic Crossing" by Cinenord / Beta Film / NRK (Norway), "Des" by New Pictures/ITV (United Kingdom), "Todas As Mulheres do Mundo (All the Women in the World)" by Original Globoplay (Brazil).

The awarding ceremony for the 2021 International Emmy Awards will be held in New York city on November 22.
