BLACKPINK's Lisa

On the 10th of September, BLACKPINK's Lisa finally made her highly-anticipated solo debut with "LALISA."

Notably, BLACKPINK's Lisa is the third BLACKPINK member to make their solo debut following Jennie with "Solo" in 2018. Earlier this year, BLACKPINK's Rose dropped her first solo album entitled "R" which includes her title track "On The Ground" and the b-side "Gone."

Lisa's debut was amazing as she did not fail to show her dancing prowess with her highly edgy performance in her "LALISA" music video. This comes as no surprise as Lisa herself participated in making the point choreography for her solo debut.

Adding to this, one of the most memorable parts of the "LALISA" music video was when the music randomly switched into a more Thai-esque mood where Lisa was seen wearing a gorgeous golden Thai Ram dress.

"LALISA" is the title track of Lisa's debut single album. It's a hip-hop track with a provocative brass riff that accentuates Lisa's dynamic rap skills. "LALISA" was composed by Teddy, 24, and Bekuh BOOM. The title "LALISA" refers to Lisa's birth name.

As from the title track, BLACKPINK's Lisa also released two b-side tracks, "MONEY." Aside from wowing BLINKs and personal fans, Lisa also reached an impressive milestone that only took 2 days to reach.

Previously, it took one hour and 30 minutes after its upload for BLACKPINK Lisa's MV to garner a cool 10 million views on YouTube! This means that Lisa has now set a new record for the fastest debut music video to hit 10 million views in the history of YouTube.

Besides this, BLACKPINK Lisa once again reached a milestone, reaching more than 100 million views on YouTube in a little over 2 days! The music video got 100 million views on YouTube at around 2 p.m. KST today on the 12th of September.

Although not yet confirmed by YouTube, Lisa's "LALISA" MV to get 100 million views only took 49 hours and 5 minutes, the previous holder of the record was PSY with his "Gentleman."

"Lalisa" may have also set a new record for the highest number of views ever achieved by a solo artist's music video in its first 24 hours, though this is also not confirmed by YouTube yet.

Congratulations to BLACKPINK's Lisa with the overgrowing list of broken records with "LALISA"!
