‘Back to the Future’ X ‘Rick and Morty’? Christopher Lloyd Cast As Rick Sanchez

Viewers erupt in excitement as Adult Swim recently debuted a live-action video for "Rick and Morty" which stars Christopher Lloyd (the "Back to the Future" star) as Rick Sanchez and Jaeden Martell as Morty. 

As most know, Adult Swim's "Rick and Morty" has garnered immense popularity and fame since debuting on Adult Swim back in 2013. Aside from garnering a large rating, the animated show has gone on to win Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program. 

Notably, after the end of the 3rd season, Adult Swim renewed "Rick and Morty" for a whopping 70-episode, spreading through unmentioned multiple seasons. The creators have not specified though how many seasons have been spread through the 70-episode renewal.

To further hype fans for the upcoming "Rick and Morty" 5th season finale, Adult Swim has posted a new video. The video clip shows a live-action version of Rick's garage/laboratory and his legendary green portal. 

To add to the hype, actors Christopher Lloyd and Jaeden Martell were the ones stepping out as the C-132 versions of Rick and Morty.

Although it may just be a video to build hype for the upcoming season 5 finale, the decision to cast Christopher Lloyd and Jaeden Martell as Rick and Morty shows that the creators and Adult Swim are listening to what the fans have been wanting for a while.

Perhaps a live-action "Rick and Morty" might not be so bad as fans have been going crazy about the Christopher Lloyd and Jaeden Martell casting for the iconic duo. As of writing this article, Adult Swim's clip has garnered over 49.7K Retweets and more than 148K likes on Twitter!

The season 5 finale of "Rick and Morty" will be airing on Adult Swim this coming Sunday!
