Just recently, SIHWANG, a producer from YG Entertainment, posted on his Instagram stories which possibly spoiled a collaboration between YG Entertainment's AKMU and immensely popular soloist, IU, via a blurred file.
A collaboration between the two would be an amazing addition to 2021's plethora of amazing song releases. But beyond IU, netizens went on to notice another file that also hinted at another collaboration with Zion.T, a popular R&B singer.
IU and Zion.T are artists who make a huge mark on music charts whenever they release a track, thus collaboration with AKMU will surely bring the heat. YG Entertainment's sibling group will surely garner a huge following for their comeback.
Ahead of the rumors, netizens are also anticipating AKMU to appear on IU's talk show, "Palette." In her talk show, IU performs and talks with her guests. If this pushes through, fans are anticipating a clearer hint or announcement regarding the rumored collaboration.
Previously, more than two weeks ago on the 26th of July, AKMU's agency, YG Entertainment, announced that AKMU was gearing up for a comeback on the 26th of July! No further details have been released aside from a teaser.
AKMU's coming 'special album' will be their first musical release since "Happening," their 2020 single which was dropped in November. Ahead of this, AKMU also decidedly renewed their contract with YG Entertainment, adding more years to their future with the agency.
"AKMU is set to come back on the 26th of July and K-Pop fans are looking forward to the return of these musical geniuses, especially since they have hinted at collaborations with special artists," YG Entertainment reported.
AKMU‘s highly-anticipated comeback will supposedly be led by a special 'collaboration album', which just further fuels the fire of a collaboration with a special artist like EDAM Entertainment's IU.
