"Killing Floor 2" is getting negative reviews from the Steam community for the microtransactions feature, according to Destructoid.

This game is a first person shooter video game or an FPS. It was developed by Tripwire Interactive. It is the sequel to "Killing Floor" which was launched last 2009. It was launched on April 21, 2015. This game uses the modified version of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3.

The game developer is now defending itself from angry Steam community members because of the new microtransactions system they have implemented today, according to Destructoid. Players are angry because of the earlier of microtransactions in another game which is "PayDay 2" that promised that there will be no such feature in the past.

Alan Wilson, Tripwire Vice President, said that the developer is listening to feedback, but there is not enough time left for some changes before the update. The feedback helps because it makes "Killing Floor 2" more complete before it comes out of Early Access, according to IGN.

"So that, when the game comes out of Early Access, it is actually finished, with core systems like this ironed out and working the way people want it to," said Wilson.

This new feature is like an item marketplace and it is called the Trading Floor. A player can get dropped items in-game which is for free but there are also large crates that have a lot of items, but it needs a key to unlock. This is where the microtransactions feature comes in, according VG247.

The keys can be purchased with real-world money. A gamer can gain weapon skins, player outfits and other cosmetic changes.

For now, the items are only cosmetic for "Killing Floor 2's" weapons, character outfits and more, according to PC Gamer. The items will not affect gameplay in any way. In the future, Tripwire Interactive might add weapons with new features for sale.
