"Girls Planet 999" is the up-and-coming girl group audition show, and recent news regarding its pool of mentors is making headlines. Read through the article to learn more about the survival show.

Previously, it was reported that Actor Yeo Jin Goo is confirmed to be the official MC for the survival show "Girls Planet 999." Additionally, the hype for the show went up after news of Cherry Bullet members auditioning for the program surfaced from media outlets. CLC member Yujin is also reported to have auditioned for the program as well.

Aside from the MC as well as the idol auditionees, "Girls Planet 999" draws hype after it was reported that two legendary girl group members are chosen to become mentors for the contestants.

In particular, various South Korean news outlets have reported that Girls' Generation Tiffany and former Wonder Girls Sunmi will be joining the girl group audition program as mentors. Tiffany and Sunmi will be called "K-Pop Masters" and are expected to guide the contestants towards their goal of debuting into the final lineup. Such reports were confirmed by Mnet, who is behind the production of the newest girl group survival program.

With their years of experience as top-tier idol group members, Tiffany and Sunmi are well-fit for their roles.

Sunmi debuted with JYP Entertainment's Wonder Girls. Aside from her group's success, Sunmi is also regarded as one of the best female soloists in K-Pop. Some of her iconic hits include "Gashina," and her most recent track is entitled "Tail." Meanwhile, This is not the first time for Sunmi to take on a mentor role as she previously took the same role for JTBC's Sing Again.

On the other hand, Tiffany is a member of the "Nation's Girl Group," Girls' Generation. She is regarded as one of the representative vocalists of the group. Currently, Tiffany is busy with her solo career.
