Lee Seung-Gi Leaves Hook Entertainment after 17 years, Will Start Own Agency

It is confirmed as per reports, South Korean actor, Lee Seung Gi, is officially leaving Hook Entertainment, after spending 17 years of his career with the agency.

Lee Seung Gi made his debut in June of 2004. The South Korean actor has been with Hook Entertainment for 17 years straight now. 

But unfortunately, on the 24th of May, the South Korean agency released an announcement that Lee Seung Gi will be parting ways with them to start his very own company.

Hook Entertainment's official statement is as stated below:

"Hello, this is Hook Entertainment.

Our exclusive contract with Lee Seung Gi will be terminated on the 31st of May.

Although we have been together for a long time even way before his debut with a relationship based on a trust, Lee Seung Gi has recently decided to begin a new one-man agency and to promote independently. Thus, we agreed to maintain a cooperative relationship in the future.

We sincerely thank our partner, Lee Seung Gi, for staying with us for as long as he did. He has played an active role as one of Korea's top artists.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the fans for showing their love and support for Lee Seung Gi, and we ask you to continue to show him unlimited support in the future.

We will do our best to support Lee Seung Gi and cheer him on as he takes on more challenges as an independent artist.

Thank you."

Similarly, on the same day of the announcements, it was also reported that Lee Seung Gi will be beginning a one-man agency with his father, but no details have been released yet.

Wherever Lee Seung Gi will go now, regardless of his decisions, Hook Entertainment will continue to show love and support to the actor. After 17 years of being together, the agency and actor have the utmost love and respect for one another.

Lee Seung Gi's fans will surely keep showing their support, especially now that he is venturing into new horizons, opening his own agency.
