For K-Pop idol groups, getting brand deals is an indication that they are doing really well and are recognizable by the general public. Especially for a rookie idol group, it is a milestone that shows their market potential.

Weeekly's promising debut

One of the rising girl group rookies for this generation of K-Pop idol groups is Weeekly. Composed of South Korean members Jaehee, Soojin, Zoa, Monday, Jihan, Jiyoon, and Soeun, Weeekly debuted under Play M Entertainment in June 2020. Weekly debuted with the mini-album "We Are" along with the title track "Tag Me."

In October 2020, the seven girls from Play M Entertainment released their second mini-album, "We Can," together with the title track "Zig Zag."

The warm response from the public enabled Weeekly to secure six rookie awards from various award-giving bodies.

Aside from their official comeback releases, Weeekly also took part in various OSTs. In September 2020, they released "Boom Chiki," an OST single for "My Dream is Ryan." In addition, they also released the OST single entitled "Wake Up" for the KBS drama "Hello, Me!"

Most recently, the girls of Weeekly came back with their third mini-album, "We Play," and its title track "After School" last March. The mini-album recorded over 25,000 sales less than a month since its release, while the music video for the title song "After School" has over 52 million views on YouTube as of this writing. These achievements just prove Weeekly's potential to become K-Pop fourth-generation leaders.

Weeekly scores their first big brand deal

With such astonishing achievements, it's no surprise that Weeekly is up in the running to become a household name in K-Pop. And adding more feathers to their hat, the Play M girl group just secured brand endorsement with "Davich Eye Wear." The seven girls of Weeekly became Davich's chosen representatives for its newest line of contact lenses for teens.

Congratulations to Weeekly!
