Red Velvet’s Yeri To Star In New Web Drama With PENTAGON’s Hongseok

On March 7th, Red Velvet member Yeri was confirmed to take on the lead female role for the upcoming web drama "Blue Birthday." Starring alongside the Red Velvet maknae will be PENTAGON's main vocal Hongseok.
The cast of the upcoming web drama "Blue Birthday" held their first script reading on April 5th and it is scheduled to be released in the summer.
"Blue Birthday" will be a fantasy romance drama that will revolve around the story of Oh Harin, the girl who travels back in time through the mysterious pictures Ji Seojun, her first love who died ten years ago, left behind.
Yeri will be playing the female lead role of Oh Harin. Meanwhile, PENTAGON Hongseok will play the character of Ji Seojun. Hongseok's Seojun sees Harin as the only person who gives hope to his life.
During her birthday, ten years prior to the setting of the drama, Oh Harin confessed her feelings towards her first love, Ji Seojun. However, tables turned, and Harin was left in shock and despair when Seojun suddenly died in a photo studio. Since then, Harin endured "hellish times and great hardships," until she ended up working at an abandoned animal shelter. One day, Oh Harin happened to get a picture of her tragic birthday and then goes back in time to that very day, ten years ago.
Meanwhile, joining Red Velvet's Yeri and PENTAGON's Hongseok is actor Lee Sang Joon. He will play the role of Cha Eunsung, a city reporter who used to have a crush on Oh Harin in the past. In addition, playing the role of Do Soojin, Harin's best friend, is actress Kim Kyeol Yoo while actor Park Joo Hyun will be playing as Do Soojin's boyfriend, Kim Ui Young.
