LG Hailed As Number 1 Home Appliance Brand In U.S.

LG Electronics, a prominent South Korean multinational electronics company, has been recognized as the best home appliance brand in the United States. The said information was based on the ranking released by a non-profit organization called Consumer Reports.

It was revealed that the company's organic light-emitting diode TV was hailed as the best among more than 200 television products. A total of seven models from LG made it to the top 10, while the other three came from the popular Japanese corporation, Sony.

LG also dominated the ranking for the washing machine category. Its front load washing machines got all the top nine places, while the top load high-efficiency washing machine bagged the top four.

For the refrigerator's category, LG's French Door refrigerators were able to get the top spot. The people who assessed the products were impressed by the premium models that have more than three doors. LG also bested other firms in the top-freezer and bottom-freezer fridge lists.

LG is undeniably a top producer of home appliance products. However, it is facing tough competition since brands like Samsung and Sony also dominate the global market. Samsung has been the leader in the U.S. TV market with more than 40 percent share, but the best products recognition was given to LG.

Meanwhile, market researcher TraQline said that LG had a 17 percent share in the U.S. washing machine market for the first two quarters of 2020. It also had a bigger share for washing machines that cost 1 million South Korean won ($900).
